Canon C100 in action for Vega Sport

Canon C100 in action for Vega Sport

We’ve been getting a lot of comments and questions about the Canon C100 and how it performs in the real world. Well, here’s an example of a project we just completed for Vega Sport. This video is primarily for web distribution so it’s all native AVCHD footage that’s been edited and graded in FCP X.  Yes, I know, the two scourges of the production world, AVCHD and FCP X, coming together to induce ridicule and derision.

But, before you start shaking your head and rolling your eyes, check it out and see what you think. Considering the small budget, our two person crew and a “just get it done” production schedule – we’re pretty happy with the results.

Canon C100 / Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 / Canon EF-S 10-22 f3.5-4.5 / Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L / Canon EF 35 f/1.4L

GoPro Hero 3 for ocean swimming shots.

Great job with the production! We just bought C100 upgraded from 5D MKIII. Why did you decide to use some of EF-S lens instead EF lens only? We have all EF lens except 40mm pancake.

      Hi Jed,
Do you mean you have mostly the basic and low cost EF lenses or the high-end EF L series lenses?
